I use a blog schedule - every Monday and Thursday - and I definitely use the "schedule" feature. I frequently have 5-8 posts scheduled in advance. Though I move stuff around as new things come up and for a bit of variety (interviews mixed with book reviews mixed with tips, etc.), it is nice to know that I could drop off the face of the planet for the next three weeks and my blog would keep rolling.

That said, I don't think a schedule is for everyone. If it doesn't work for you, I say don't sweat it. Once it becomes a chore, it completely loses its significance and meaning.

@JoAnna - Train trip - sweet! I have always wanted to do a US train trip and have almost done it so many times until I see how long it takes :)

@Abbie - Its the Buffalo Run out on Antelope Island on the Great Salt Lake. It is suppose to be a good intro ultra but we will see...

@Nancy - I am totally sad I am missing the NYC thing - I've never been :(

Sweet! You've got some amazing things lined up. That's so cool you're doing the ultra marathon-insane!

For me:
NYC in June
Hoping to fit another trip in the summer (maybe out west?) and India in the winter. :)

I hear you on the planning part sister, but mine would be more "thinking" than planning.

What ultra are you doing???

I remember my first pull-up (sniff sniff). It took me FOREVER and I was soooo excited!

Wooo J-tree! I'll have to put you on a couple problems out there.

Sounds like you've got lots of awesome plans for the summer! I can't wait to meet up with you in Joshua Tree.

As for me: I'm taking the train to New Orleans the first week in April. New York City in June. Hoping to fit in some backpacking in Zion and Bryce for a couple weeks this summer. Would like to go to Cuba in July. And at least 12 days but hopefully 3-4 weeks in Vietnam and surrounding countries sometime before November of this year.

Good luck on the ultra marathon ~ I'm super impressed!

Thanks for being transparent and sharing your story, Amiee. I feel like I know you better and am way amazed at your courage and determination. Even without the Costa Rica trip, I know big things are in store for you.
