Hi Amiee- stumbled upon your blog and just read this post. I just hiked the Kalalau trail in Kauai over the holidays. Well not the whole thing, just 8 hours worth… but it was gorgeous! I hear the camping at the end is quite an experience! You can see a few of my hiking pics on my FB album from Kauai. Hope you are well!

@JoAnna – Train trip – sweet! I have always wanted to do a US train trip and have almost done it so many times until I see how long it takes

@Abbie – Its the Buffalo Run out on Antelope Island on the Great Salt Lake. It is suppose to be a good intro ultra but we will see…

NYC in June
Hoping to fit another trip in the summer (maybe out west?) and India in the winter.

I hear you on the planning part sister, but mine would be more “thinking” than planning.

What ultra are you doing???

I remember my first pull-up (sniff sniff). It took me FOREVER and I was soooo excited!

Sounds like you’ve got lots of awesome plans for the summer! I can’t wait to meet up with you in Joshua Tree.

As for me: I’m taking the train to New Orleans the first week in April. New York City in June. Hoping to fit in some backpacking in Zion and Bryce for a couple weeks this summer. Would like to go to Cuba in July. And at least 12 days but hopefully 3-4 weeks in Vietnam and surrounding countries sometime before November of this year.

Good luck on the ultra marathon ~ I’m super impressed!
