At the beginning of May I, too, gave up office life (I was an attorney in DC) to pursue my officeless passion. I've now immersed myself in trail running while freelancing, publishing a website, and coaching (online). While I've settled into the Yosemite area for the winter, I was able stay on the road from mid-May through mid-September. Best of luck as you pursue your dream.
